After working to redefine the customer experience at Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express, we were asked to reimagine what a guest room could be. It’s an important answer to get right for two brands that welcome as many guests per night as HI and HIE. We decided to keep the room neutral and warm, and created different schemes for pops of color. These could be based on existing finishes, regional influences, or what the customers of a given property respond well to. The result is the Breeze Room Scheme. I was the account and project manager for this; the work was produced while I was at Gensler.
